This year our school is exploring using the Mantle of the Expert pedagogy within the inquiry process. On here I will be writing down the things I find out, the successes and glitches with running a Mantle in my class, and creating a list of different drama techniques that I can use

Marine Reserve Inquiry from MOTE approach
Marine Reserves Planning
Company - An advertising agency who has previously carried out ,and won awards , for advertisements for saving, animals and trees.
Hook- Three pictures . One of lots of snapper swimming around. One of fishing boats out at sea fishing. One of sea with only a few fish in it. Children to discuss in groups of 3-4 then come up with a 30sec drama with dialogue to explain what they think pics are about.
Commission - Letter from Wanu Coastal Care Company asking agency to produce a brochure and a radio jingle explaining why people need to look after Marine Reserves
Dramatic Tension - Ideas - A fisherman is angry that he cannot fish in marine reserve
sharks ask if they are allowed in marine reserve - other fish have to make a decision
and report back to the sharks, safely.
rubbish left all over beach
people jet skiing where others are snorkeling.
